On Saturday in Worland the Rock Springs Tigers took on the Powell Panthers. This match saw the Tigers open sluggishly and fall behind Powell at the half one to nothing. The Powell goal was scored off a free kick. Tyler Wilkinson the Tiger freshman keeper making his first varsity start just could not get to the free kick. The Tigers came out on fire in the second half scoring in the first minute after halftime when Riley Yerkovich passed to Erick Mata who rocketed the ball to the bottom left corner. Fifteen minutes later, in the 56th minute the Tigers found net again when Tevin Beaver collected a pass from Garrett Hay on a through ball and Tevin placed the ball between the keepers legs. The third and final score for the Tigers was from Storie Ratcliff who also was assisted by Garret Hay. Ratcliff's goal came in the 76th minute to ice the non conference game for Rock Springs. This win improves the Varsity record to 5 - 4 - 0. Man of the Match; Garrett Hay (2 assists and great offensive work).
