Spring Break and Schedule Changes



The games versus Green River that were originally scheduled during our Spring Break have been re-scheduled. We will now have the JV game on March 30 at 5pm in Green River with the Varsity Game being March 31st at 5pm in Rock Springs.

We still have our two home matches against the Casper schools (KW and NC) the first weekend of spring break (4/3, 4/4). These matches will be very important for our seeding at regionals.

The team also is scheduled to practice on Monday and Tuesday of spring break, but will get the rest of the week off. Please make your family plans so that the can coincide with the team plans. The changes to the game schedule and the practice schedule have been changed on their own links, see the links to your right.

Schedule Update

We have two schedule updates for the spring 2009 season to announce. First of all the game versus Laramie in Laramie on Friday 3/27/09 has been canceled. This game was canceled due to a scheduling conflict that Laramie High had. We are working to find a replacement game on short notice for this week. We will update when plans are secure. Second of all our game at Star Valley that was on Wednesday April 22nd has been changed. The game will now be played in Star Valley on Friday April 17th. The times are still the same at 3:00pm JV and 5:00pm Varsity

Tigers fall in OT to Wolves

Rock Springs jumped to an early lead in the first leg of the Sweetwater cup for a 1 - 0 lead in just the first couple of minutes. The Tigers goal was scored by Austin Mivshek with a Kolby Vasa assist. Green River evened up the score shortly after. The Tigers scored again in the first half after an Erik Mata goal from a Kyle Howe assist. At the half the Tigers had a 2 to 1 lead. By the 71st minute the Wolves scored twice to take a 3 to 2 lead. Ron Halstead tied the game up from a Gilbert Gonzalez assist in the 73rd minute. Regulation ended at 3 goals a piece, and the two teams played two 10 minute overtime periods. Green River scored in the first of the two overtime periods and hung on for the rest of overtime and the 4 to 3 win. Varsity (0 - 3 - 2) Next up for the JV and Varsity at Casper Natrona Friday at 3:00pm and 5:00pm
